| Q. What is the World Schools Golf Challenge? |
| A. The WSGC is an international tournament created for high school golfers of all golfing abilities to test their skills and develop their game against other college golfers on golf courses around the world. |
| Q. Why was the World Schools Golf Challenge created ? |
| A. It is well known that young elite and low marker golfers are well catered for with international tournaments but there was no international team event with an individual and team element that also incorporates middle to higher handicap golfers. The WSGC is a unique, once in a life-time experience for high school golfers, their coaches, teachers and families. |
| Q. What qualifications are required? |
| A. The organizers policy is one of inclusion – there are no qualifications required beyond being a member of a school team, having a recognized golf handicap, a love of the game of golf and a desire to meet other college golfers and experience what the host countries have to offer. |
| Q. Is there a maximum handicap for the tournament? |
| A. The maximum handicap is 21. Players on handicaps up to 26 at tournament time, have to play off 21. |
| Q. Who organizes the World School Golf Challenge? |
| A. The WSGC was created and is organized by Vintage Sport & Leisure from offices in Auckland, New Zealand. The tournament management team includes people with great experience in organizing golf and golf events as well as coaches from local schools and members of the South Australia Golf Association. |
| Q. Is this the first tournament? |
| A. The 2009 tournament in South Australia will be the second event – the inaugural tournament was staged in Christchurch, New Zealand in April 2007. Full details about the 2007 tournament can be found on the website. It is intended to stage the tournament every second year. |

| A. Any high school with 4 golfers can enter a team in the WSGC - immediate past pupils are also eligible. |
| Q. Is entry limited to one team per country? |
| A. NO! Any school from any country can enter as many teams as they like. |
| Q. What constitutes a team? |
| A. Teams must have 4 players and can be made up of boys, girls or a mix of boys and girls from the same school. |
| Q. How many teams can a single school enter? |
| A. There is no limit to the number of teams that a single school can enter. |
| Q. Who handles the tournament accommodation, transport and tours ? |
| A. Vintage Sport & Leisure appoint a tournament ground operator who is responsible for providing teams with a variety of accommodation, tours and transport options. |

| Q. What does the tournament programme include? |
| A. The week begins with a practice round at one of the host clubs followed by the 4 days of the tournament. There are 2 social functions – an official opening ceremony and welcome dinner and a prizegiving dinner. |

| A. A range of golf and local tour options will be provided for supporters travelling with the team. |
| Q. What costs are involved? |
| A. The entry fee for each team is set for each tournament and must be paid at the time of entry. In addition all team members must purchase the official registration package that includes:
- Four rounds of golf at the selected host clubs.
- A quality World Schools Golf Challenge souvenir polo golf shirt.
- A welcome package of local information on arrival.
- The Opening Ceremony and a 3-hour Welcome Party which includes traditional local entertainment, unlimited soft drinks and fruit juice and a substantial buffet meal.
- The 3-hour Prizegiving Dinner which will include entertainment, the tournament prizegiving, unlimited soft drinks and fruit juice and a substantial buffet meal.

| Q. What is the tournament format? |
A. The WSGC is a 72 hole teams and single stroke – nett and gross event played over four consecutive days at host clubs selected by the local golf association. The individual competition features 4 divisions (based on handicaps) for boys & girls with gross and nett champions in each division.
The team competition (boys, girls and mixed) is based on teams of 4 with the best 3 scores each day counting towards nett and gross results. |
| Q. How do we enter? |
| A. Entry is a simple procedure. Teams can register online on the WSGC website (www.worldschoolsgolf.com) and pay the registration fee by using a creditcard or entry can be done manually by completing the entry form and forwarding it to the WSGC office with the registration fee. |
